While you’re busy buying 30 or 40 copies of my newest release Viva Las Bad Boys! -or more because, really, you can’t have enough copies of that book – I thought I’d give you a sneak peek of my next release which also happens to be my first single title.
Title: Your Mouth Makes Me Crazy
Cover copy:
Her mouth should be a dangerous weapon. So should his—but for different reasons. Thrown together by chance—and a pair of handcuffs—they’re about to make Hawaii even steamier…
Annie Parks came to Hawaii to gather information and settle a score, not spend time handcuffed to a sexy stranger’s bed. Okay, so this particular stranger saved her from drowning after she was pitched overboard by some goons. And he’s about six feet of hard, Hawaiian muscle and gorgeous cool that’s making forgotten parts of her say, “A-lo-ha!” She needs to stay focused, but a side dish of Kane Travers is awfully tempting.
Kauai Police Chief Kane Travers is not a vacation kind of guy. So it figures that when Internal Affairs suspended him, he’d end up rescuing a sarcastic, dishonest, extremely hot redhead who is clearly hiding something. Amnesia? Yeah, right. Kane’s got half a mind to give Miss Whoever She Is something she’ll never forget. His cop senses tell him that the lady’s in deep and needs his protection. But how can he get her to tell him anything when all he wants is to take her home and do everything?

by Patty B. August 8th, 2006 at 7:36 amYour single title sounds intriguing. My eyes & ears perked as I waded through your photos and read that you new single title takes place on Kauai. My middle daughter just honeymooned there, so I’m eager to read your story. We both love quieter islands with less touristy traps (hubby & I honeymooned on St. John’s at the US Campground) and lots of areas to explore on foot. Of course, a pristine beach with bluer than the sky water doesn’t hurt either. Maybe someday we’ll get there for real; in the meantime, a fantasy vacation to Kauai will do just fine!
by Ann Lipovsky August 8th, 2006 at 10:03 amLooks good.

by Debby August 8th, 2006 at 8:27 pmSo is this romantic suspense or romance with a hint of suspense or am I completely wrong on the suspense angle? Forgive me if this has been addressed already – I followed a link from Jane’s blog (You got a B- from her! That’s tantamount to an A from anyone else!) and I only allowed myself a 10 minute break from case briefing. This is minute 9. *sigh*
by Jay August 8th, 2006 at 10:52 pmHi Helen,
How about a little trek to Canada for some of these adventures, maybe explore the nightlife of Montreal, or even discover shaddy characters in our Nations Capital…Ottawa, BTW, not Toronto.
Cheers
by Nathalie August 9th, 2006 at 3:20 pmNathalie
Hello everyone! Sorry for the prolonged silence. I had to step out of town for a few days. Am back now.
Thanks for the kind words on YOUR MOUTH IS MAKING ME CRAZY. I’m excited for it to come out, too. We have a bit of a wait. It’s a July 2007 release. That means it should be available in June 2007, and I should start getting ARCs in, maybe, March. Yes, I’ll give a few away so Jane will not have to kill anyone to track a copy down
Jay’s right – this one has a bit of suspense but the story is tightly focused on the romance. My editor said it reminded her of the classic romance banter from movies like PHILADELPHIA STORY and BRINGING UP BABY. Needless to say, I loved hearing that comment!
Nathalie – no plans to visit Canda…yet…
by HelenKay August 9th, 2006 at 8:35 pmHola, I think I was meant to be an editor- I can’t help it, everything just jumps
by Patricia Cochran August 9th, 2006 at 10:39 pmout at me!!!! It’s probably tacky of me, because I know why your title uses
the words ” Viva Las.” But, in the Spanish language, the word “las” is used
for feminine purposes. When speaking of males, as in “Bad Boys,” the word
“los” is proper. Oh, well, I guess if the boys are bad enough, it doesn’t
matter what form you use! Adios, amiga!!!
le gasp! Did I know about this? I so don’t think I knew about this. I feel so abused!
by sybil August 10th, 2006 at 3:43 amPat – You are not the first to point this out. My hubby said the same thing when I got the title. The answer is exactly what you think: “Las” stands for “Las Vegas” rather than modifying “Boys” and who am I to argue with the sales folks at Kensington. Besides, the title is catchy
Sybil – Are you suggesting you don’t visit my blog regularly? Now there’s a le gasp moment… But, really, I think you know this only as The Kauai Book. The poor thing finally got a “real” title.
by HelenKay August 10th, 2006 at 6:49 amoooooohhhhhhhh
ok I forgive you cuz I did now about that one… *g*
