I attend my first official booksigning at this year’s RWA conference. My hubby was there to catch the moment(s) on film. Now, I hate having my picture taken. Hate it. But, I love meeting other authors and readers, so I muddled through…

Thanks for sending the photos. I love seeing them. Alison Kent sent some nice ones too over at the Access site. (and bigger - just kidding). Hey at least you figured out how to get them on the computer. I dont even have a digitial and know if I did, I would be spastic. LOL. Good weekend to all.

HelenKay, I don’t know what your Wordpress screen looks like, but when you want to post a picture, you have to click this icon, right?
There’s a tab with numbers on it. Something like ___ by ___ . Click that and choose numbers bigger than the ones in the tab.
Yes, it’s about clear as mud.

May - HK has a different image browser than the one that comes with the original WP.
HK- When you size down your images, feel free to make the longest side about 300 pixels or so. Shouldn’t break your page, and I’m here to fix it if it does!

In the newer versions of WordPress, when you upload a photograph it automatically creates a thumbnail version as well as the original size. You’ve put the thumbnail into your post as you should, now you just need to link it to the original version. Here’s how I would do it:
1. As you are editing the post, you will see the thumbnails in the actual post as well as in the “Upload browser” below. Right click on one of the thumbnails in the browser portion and copy the URL.
2. Left click on the corresponding image in the post to highlight it, then click the link button.
3. Paste the link you saved, but delete “.thumbnail” from the file name.
4. Rinse and repeat as necessary.

HelenKay, it was seriously cool to meet you in person, to put a face with your name. Next year, let’s do coffee - you’re righteous! And your husband’s no slacker either - what a guy to take pictures. Shoot, what a guy to go with you to conference. I’ve got your Vegas book up next in the tbr stack - I’m looking forward to reading it, even though it’s gonna make me want to go to Vegas, and with 2 girls in college right now….yeah, it’s not looking good in the near future! Thanks for the pics!
