A Bit of Nonsense
News venues provided evidence this week that the world is falling apart. For instance, we have killer whales actually trying to, you know, kill. We have pastors killing for cash (allegedly). We have idiots running amok in the legal system (as usual). And, while all goes to hell, I sit in San Diego waiting for my first royalty statement. The only book included in this one will be When Good Things Happen To Bad Boys. Thanks to my fellow authors in the anthology - Lori Foster and Erin McCarthy - and their fans, the information on this statement likely will make me smile. No panic until the next royalty statement. I have months to wait for that one.
In the meantime I can take some enjoyment in the fact I received an author quote for Your Mouth Drives Me Crazy, my July ‘07 release (in case you didn’t get that from the 300 other times I’ve pointed it out in a subtle plea to have you pre-order copies of the book).
Now, I know some of you are anti-author quote. I usually don’t pay that much attention either, but so what. This one is for me, so it’s cool. The quote:
“She’s a delight.” - Christina Dodd
Thank you Christina.

Oh wah.. I didn’t say I HATED Author quotes . I hate 50 pages of author quotes from big names telling me to love a debut work. There is a difference.
LOL I was going to say I don’t pay attention to them but I do read them. Hell I read the thanks and notes and just about every page of the book. They generally don’t make or break a book buy for me. So there you go

It doesn’t matter to me. I think they’re cool, but not the end all, be all. I don’t understand readers who are so against them. There are other things to be up in arms about, imo.
In other news, totally unrelated to nonsense, I was just in Vegas and while at the airport grabbing a magazine for the flight home, I saw “Viva Las Bad Boys” placed over by the books about Vegas - they looked really cool, and it was one of the few romances at that particular location. And what a great book to read on the plane, too.

Stacy - Thank you for sharing the information on the airport placement. That makes my day.
