[...] In an interview with the Globe, Barbara Delinsky disavows her romance writing past, refusing to discuss it with the interviewer. Nice. Am adding her to the list of Authors Behaving Badly. Come on, Delinsky, you built your career on romance readers. At least acknowledge that they exist. Via HelenKay Dimon’s blog.
That's a shame that she should look back on those earlier books with shame or embarrassment. I believe that's how she started her fan following - too bad she doesn't appreciate it more.

I do admire her current project and her plans for the proceeds. At least she has some redeeming qualities *g*

I dont know why she should be embarrased - I loved her earlier books better than what she writes now, not that I dont like them too but not as much. Three Wishes and the Dream books were fantastic as well as the matchmaker series.

Same goes for Linda Howard and Sandra Brown. I got a friend hooked of Barbara's older books.

She seems to have succumbed to the snobbery from outsiders when it comes to romance. I still have a Temptation book of hers called The Secret Of The Stone. I loved that book.

I have read a lot of Delinsky books and the later books are much different than the earlier ones.

I agree with you. It sounds like she is embarrassed by her earlier writing. I have several of her later books in my TBR pile but haven't gotten to them yet.
