I've read Harlequins since my teens. When you don't have alot of time but want to read, they provide just the perfect fix.

I adore Presents. They were the first romance novels I ever read, and know that's why I target my own writing toward Harlequin.

Lucy Monroe is of course, fabulous. Trish Morey is wonderful and I never, ever miss a book by Julia James.

Thanks everyone! Sounds as if Lucy is a Harlequin Presents favorite. You've given me some other names to try too. Maybe I can pick up a book or two at RT and start there.

I have read books by Susan Stephens, Lucy Monroe and Jane Porter. They write great stories that don't take long to read for those times when you have limited reading time.

I love to read Presents for a short read. You know the one when you know that you don't have enough time to finish a long story, you want something you can read in one day. The characters are always intriguing and exciting. You get the plot within the first chapter and you feel satisfied at the end of the book. Love that.

I also have not read any of these (I don't think I have...I may have and not realized it since I don't remember books by the 'line' they are in)

I have never read a Presents book. I tend to prefer the full sized books.

Love Lucy's books! Some of the HPs are hit or miss, even favorite authors. I've enjoyed some of Jane Porter's, then found one I didn't care for because the heroine came across as weak and needy. Sara Craven, Carole Mortimer and Penny Jordan - same thing. Like the others said here, they're hit or miss. I like Lucy's cuz she does the unexpected with the line - talks about serious issues or gives us heroines who don't fit the mold - I like that.

I love Presents! Lucy Monroe's are great, Kate Walker is fabulous. Check out The Italian's Forced Bride. Tycoons, revenge, blackmail, secret babies, Presents are full of 'em. They are pure escapist fantasy fun! And very driven by sexual tension and angst.
