On Angela Knight

In the next guest blogger installment, Cynthya Petzen offers her thoughts on Angela Knight’s MASTER OF DRAGONS. Thanks Cynthya!

Master of Dragons by Angela Knight is the latest in her Mageverse series. I have been eagerly awaiting Kel’s story ever since the book that first mentioned the dragon shapeshifter trapped in a sword. Freed in the previous book and made a Knight of the Round Table, Kel is given a task by the dragon god to protect the half-fairy Nineva. Nineva has been running from the Sidhe who want to kill her and suffering awful nightmares about dying in a dragon’s fire.

This book showcases why Angela Knight has become so popular. The world she has created is fascinating but not difficult to understand, her love scenes sizzle and all her characters are complex and believable–even when they are werewolves or dragons. Master of Dragons is unique and clever, with lines that will make you laugh out loud and scenes that will bring you to tears. Kel and Nineva were both so brave and had been through such ordeals that I was really rooting for them to overcome seemingly impossible odds and find their happy ending. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series!

You can check out Angela Knight’s website and read up on the rest of this series.

I was excited to read Cynthya’s thoughts since Angela Knight is an author I stumbled upon years ago when I picked up a SECRETS anthology - SECRETS Vol. 2 to be exact. I loved Angela’s futuristic story, Roarke’s Prisoner, even though futuristic weren’t (and still aren’t) my usual thing. Thanks to Angela, I started picking up the SECRETS anthologies and found quite a few authors from there.

Anyone else have any thoughts on Angela Knight’s books?

I first ran across Knight in Secrets v.2, too — she’s pretty much the reason I went online looking for more like it, and first ran across authors like MJD, and all of Ellora’s Cave.

I first read her book with Diane Whiteside, Captive Dreams, when it was at EC. (It’s now at Berkley) I bought it because the concept made me laugh; authors’ characters come to life and capture them to get even with them for all the torture they’ve been put through. That woman knows how to write! Love her stuff.

  3. Patricia Treskovich Says:

I never read any of her books yet, but will soon.

I haven’t read any of her books YET-but I plan on it!!

Like Meljean, I discovered Angela Knight in the Secrets books years ago - Blood and Kisses I think was the story - and ialong with Emma Holly books, it was just about the hottest thing I’ve ever read. Then I got her Forever Kiss, and some of the other stories in the vamp series, and moved on to Jane’s Warlord. Loved them all, but JW has a special place in my heart. I’ve read some of the Magaverse books and enjoyed them as well.

I think Angela has a way of tapping into some popular fantasies in a very effective manner because the scenes are extremely sexy and you immediately feel the connection between the characters, which I absolutely love.
