Around The Internet
So, I’m sick. Like, can’t hold my head up type of sick. I hate that. While I wallow in my germs, I thought I’d point out some info around the net.
First, if you haven’t already, make sure you check out the new site Romantic Advances. Very cool. Seeing what’s coming out over the next 6-8 months appeals to me on every level. This is a fabulous idea and one started by people you likely already know and like.
Second, YOUR MOUTH DRIVES ME CRAZY got a 4 Star review from RT - yay!!! Reviewer Jennifer Madsen says:
This is a fast-paced, hot and heavy romance with a twist of suspense and mystery. The constant banter of Dimon’s characters is a driving force of the book, creating sexual tension and humor. The story ends with an eyebrow-raising surprise that readers won’t see coming.
Go buy it.
No, really, go buy it.
Third, I have admitted being a tad confused about some of Harlequin/Silhouette’s publishing decisions of late. The newest announcement relates to the launch of a nonfiction program at Harlequin. I’m not sure what to say about this one.
I’m sure there’s more news, but I need to go take some meds and throw my body on the couch.

Hope you feel better soon.
Congrats on the 4-star review. Since I read the ARC, your book is definitely on my “must buy list.”

Congratulations on the 4 Star review! I have it on my TBB list.
Don’t you know this isn’t the time of year to get sick!
Hopefully you will feel better very soon.

Congrats on the review! I think that’s my favorite title of the year. Love it!
And I’m not feeling love for the Harlequin nonfiction thing. I go to them for my one man/one woman HEA and that’s what I expect them to give me. They can’t be everything to everybody and should go back to doing what they do best.
Get better soon!

I just finished reading YOUR MOUTH DRIVES ME CRAZY to review for Romance Junkies! It is an awesome book I LOVE these characters! I hope you have plans for Josh!

Sorry you’re sick…but great review!
I checked out the Advance blog, and it looks great…except they won’t take books published by non-RWA-recognized publishers…like my publisher. Which is a bummer, seeing as I have a new book out I’m really excited about. Oh, well. Their blog, their choice, I guess.

Thanks all! I am feeling better…finally!!
Stacey - I’m with you. Don’t get it.
Cindy - I didn’t realize the must-be-recognized-by-RWA thing. The folks who run ROMANTIC ADVANCES are pretty cool chicks. I’m not sure how many of them are even in RWA. Maybe it’s worth writing to them about…
Robin - You made my year! Thank you so much. I’m just starting to get feedback on YOUR MOUTH DRIVES ME CRAZY. Since this is my first single title, I’m a bit nervous over everyone’s reaction. Your lovely comments put my mind at ease. Again, thank you! And, yes, I do plan to write Josh’s story. I actually have three stories set in Kauai - they share some characters but are stand alone books. YOUR MOUTH DRIVES ME CRAZY is the first. I just turned in the second, so it should be out in 2008. Josh’s story is the third. It’s rumbling around in my head right now because, honestly, he was such a guy’s guy that I couldn’t help but love him.

And, Dru - thank you for planning to buy YOUR MOUTH DRIVES ME CRAZY!!! I love that.

WooHoo!! I’m thrilled to hear about Josh getting a book of his own! And, I’m glad to hear that you’ve got another one already “in the pipeline” so to speak. Who, if I may ask, is that one about?
Josh is most definitely a man’s man, but it’s going to be so much fun to watch him on that slippery slope of love.
I can’t wait!
As for my earlier compliments, they are well deserved! I’ve enjoyed all your stories in the past and was excited by the opportunity to review YOUR MOUTH DRIVES ME CRAZY. It lived up to and exceeded my expectations! I loved it!
Hugs,
Robin

Thanks for letting us know about the advance site it’s great being able to pull up the catagories and see what’s coming out ahead of time.
