You're right! Hot is hot, but I still prefer dry heat. I'd love to move to Arizona and get away from this northeast Indiana "stickiness".

Oh, yeah, forgot to say, I live in Vegas. 105 isn't too bad. It's when you get to 115 that more than five minutes outside makes you want to die. Especially in July/August when it often gets humid as well.

You folks who live in the desert need to tell me how you do it.

Two words: Air conditioning.

In this house we don't turn on our heater in winter, no matter how cold it gets (it got as low as 61 degrees inside this past winter), to make up for how high our power bill is in summer. I can deal with the cold. I've got warm clothes and blankets. I can't deal with it being 80+ degrees in my living room. My brain stops functioning. As for going outside...well, June-August I do very little of that.

I am one of those hotties!
i live in Arizona and today it is 110 degrees with a slight breeze. Yes it is hot but everyone adapts to it-we have AC's in buiildings, misters outside cafes,, lightweight clothing and we wear hats and sunglasses. If you get your head in the shade, it's not too bad.
But you must admit, we have wonderful winter weather.

You are a better woman than I.

I also don’t know why this guy at the pool still had not finished Tuesdays With Morrie after four days of reading. It’s not exactly a thick and complex read.

LOL. It seems obvious that he was more interested in ogling the scantily clad bodies, no?

Hey I'm glad this time to Vegas was better for you. I was there at the end of November and was surprised that it was colder than Chicago, but I'd go back anytime.

I'm so looking forward to YMDMC - soon, soon....

Yeah, blogland is one gigantic place where sometimes it's better to just stay home.

Welcome back Helen! I've never been to any of the states past where I am! I don't like to fly so I won't ever get out there to the west, but I was always curious about LV. I didn't realize tho how hot it is! That I don't deal with well. I guess thats why I never complain about the snow here in the winters.

Oh I always see many people in the bookstores, libraries and too in the parks reading. So I know that many read! I got a son who reads lots and my hubby says he is as bad as I am when it comes to books, smile.

Congrats on YOUR MOUTH DRIVES ME CRAZY coming out soon! Been so looking forward to this one! Have fun catching up on emails. I never can!
