The End Of The Cabot Series
I’m a Meg Cabot fan. Don’t read much of her YA stuff, but do read her adult titles. I enjoy her voice. It’s flirty and funny. My favorite series of hers is over. At least I think it’s over. It’s the one with these titles: SIZE 12 IS NOT FAT, SIZE 14 IS NOT FAT EITHER and BIG BONED.
I finished BIG BONED last night and have just one thing to say about the ending…awwwww. The romance reader in me is happy. The romance author part of me - the part that likes to analyze what works in books - is a bit confused on how Cabot got from Point A to Point B so fast and without clueing me in. But the reader is a satisfied woman. Somehow Cabot makes these situations work. Not sure how, but she does.

I love Meg Cabot, too. She is just so dang funny! I especially love her blog. It’s like dishing with your best girlfriend.

Yeah, I really took offense at the fashion industry saying size 12 was in the bigger sized women group. Maybe these books will reinforce we dont have to be sticks. They look like good reads.

Hm, I’m intrigued. I’ve been wanting to read some more YA books…

I love Meg Cabot’s books too, both YA and adult. Her blog on megcabot.com is hilarious. I really like the video blogs she occasionally does, they’ll have me cracking up for hours. I think that she is writing more books for the Heather Wells series. So don’t worry, it’s not over yet.

Lucie - I agree. I love her blog. She did one about booksignings a year or so ago that totally cracked me up.
Pat - Absolutely! You’ll like the heroine, Heather Wells. She’s funny, struggles with her weight, tries to deal with the fact she once was thinner and a pop sensation and is generally a joy to read.
Limecello - This series is actually for adults, but she has several YA series to choose from.
Katie B - More Heather Wells? Really? I just thought from the way BIG BONED ended…hmmm. Interesting.

I’ve not read any of these, but I will look for them. I’m a size 12-44 and and I don’t think it’s big, I’m ok with it.

I just bought Queen of Babble and it’s sequel Q of Babble in the Big City. Hope they’re as enjoyable as the ones you mention above!!
