by CarolynO February 1st, 2010 at 10:17 amsecond-I know how you feel. About 2 weeks ago I had to have emergency surgery on my left eye-the retina was detaching and they had to fix it. They did so by putting a band around my eye and filling it with a gas bubble to get the retina to lay flat again and help it reattach itself. I can’t lift over 5 pounds and can’t see out of my left eye either. It is driving me nuts and I will probably be off work for another 2 months to make sure I don’t reinjure that eye. UGH!!
