I’ve been a @sepauthor fan for a long time. Her book, Kiss An Angel*, is one of my romance favorites. So, it was a huge thrill to see her spotlight my book, Moorewood Family Rules, today and to say such nice things about it. Thank you!! This made my day. ❤️

This could be titled Desk View At End Of Book. I have five chapters left to write in this thriller (out late 2024). The laptop has a bullet point list of what needs to happen in each remaining chapter. The notebook is where I’m keeping track of the “Then” part of the book. By that I mean the book is broken down in Now and Then chapters throughout the book. The notebook is where I note the Then chapters and reason for them. I did this to make sure the Then part of the book didn’t get lost and each chapter made sense where I put it. Also on desk: water bottle, tea, cat toys, and wrist brace. Writing is so glamorous. 😙

Thank you, @leeykelly !!!! This package made my day. If you haven’t tried her recent release, WITH REGRETS, pick it up! @mattyandthebooks loved it and said this:

It’s Tuesday, which means it’s book release day. The fall promises to be as packed with Must Reads as the summer was. Yeah, buckle in for big book spending. Here are the ones I picked for today…

*The Taken Ones by @jesslourey - This is the start of the back cover copy, “Two girls vanished. A woman buried alive. Between two crimes lie decades of secrets yet to be unearthed…” Do you need more? That was enough for me to buy.

*Murder In The Family by @carahunterauthor - This is the American debut of a book that’s been out in the uIK for months. A cold case and a new streaming series about it. This is the most interesting part from the copy: “True crime lovers and savvy readers, you can review the evidence and testimony at the same time as the experts. But can you solve the case before they do?” 👀

*Murder And Mamon by @mpmthewriter - This is part of a series and it’s such a good series. “When murder mars the grand opening for Lila Macapagal’s aunties’ new laundromat, she will have to air out all the dirty laundry in Shady Palms to catch a killer…” 😬

*Bright Young Women by @jessicaknollauthor - I’ve been waiting on this one. The sorority murders give it a true crime Ted Bundy feel. It sounds so good: “Tina Cannon is convinced her missing friend was targeted by the man papers refer to as the All-American Sex Killer—and that he’s struck again. Determined to find justice, the two join forces as their search for answers leads to a final, shocking confrontation.” !!!!
