Heading to New York for a little book/setting research for the thriller I’m writing (out in late 2025) and taking this beauty with me. Have you read the Shana Merchant series by @tessawegert ??? If not, do it. I jumped in at book #2 then grabbed them all.

I decided to post some great book starters on Frid

I decided to post some great book starters on Fridays. First Line Friday doesn’t really work as a description because sometimes it’s the first paragraph or more that has the WOW! factor. So, the name is a work in progress. Go with it for now.

This week it’s IT HAD TO BE YOU by @elizajanebrazier and it’s about contract killers. That plus this opening won me over. It’s so good.
